About Birchcanoes

Birchcanoes run canoe building courses. People visit them, try one of their canoes on the river (at their site), then build a canoe under thier guidance and with their help, before launching it on their stretch of the River Wreake.

The canoes are made of durable okoume marine ply and are easily transported on a family car.

Birchcanoes may be the only place in the world offering canoe building from scratch to launch, including cutting out all the timber, in 24 actual hours of work or even less (visitors are welcome to take longer if they wish).
