Resources

  • Fire Kit/Water
  • Buttermilk biscuit dough (refrigerated/cool)
  • Vegetable oil
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Plain Glaze (optional):

  • 2 cups confectioners sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 8 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Explanation

On a cutting board, separate the buttermilk biscuit dough and use the vegetable oil cap to cut a hole in the biscuit. Heat about 2 inches of oil in a pan and add 2-3 biscuits. Fry the biscuits in the oil, flipping them over with tongs when they are golden-brown. Once the doughnuts are cooked, put them on a paper towel or plate. Put the sugar and cinnamon in a paper bag and add the doughnuts. Shake well and enjoy.

If you want to make the glaze, put the confectioners’ sugar and salt in a bowl. Add melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract and whisk until smooth. Then just dip each doughnut in the glaze and enjoy.
