This area focuses on maths activities that surround the four main topics, which are; shape, space and measure, number, using and applying, and data handling. Also if you have to change your activities for any reason, you have a number of maths- focused contingency challenges.

Shape, Space, and Measure
The following group of activities look at shape, space, and measure within the woodland. These activities develop; your trust, leadership, cooperation, patience, teamwork, life and craft skills, angles, scale, reflection, orientation, addition, and estimating.

Number
This section presents a unique group of activities, which have been designed to develop numeracy skills. These activities help to improve: trust, leadership, cooperation, patience, teamwork, life skills, subtraction, addition, and estimating.

Using & Applying
'Using & applying' is a section of themed activities that looks at using a range of maths skills to solve the challenges within the activities. If you are looking for story based maths-focused activities then this section is where you should start.

Data Handling
Data collection/handling is the focus in this section and you will also be placing the data into different tables and charts. These activities develop your trust, cooperation, patience, teamwork, and the ability to take information and place it into a graph, chart, or table.

Contingency Activities
'Contingency activities' or plan b activities are here to help keep everyone moving forward when circumstances change quickly and you still require an extra activity.
